About Our Fitness Staff
Owner and instructor, Kimberly Morin, has combined her background in business and her passion for movement and music to create a space that facilitates challenging workouts in a calming and encouraging environment. The mission at our studio is to provide our clients with a place to let go of all their "stuff" from the day and find a moment to themselves to connect, sweat, and strengthen – physically, mentally, and emotionally – ultimately becoming more, well…anchored.
Kimberly Morin – Captain of the Ship
Kimberly began her fitness journey and love affair with barre as a client at Mind Body Barre in 2011. After just a few classes, Kimberly realized that she had found so much more than a typical fitness class. She had found a way to fuse her love of dance and music with a practice that goes beyond physical movement to encourage mental and emotional well-being within an empowering and supportive community.
In 2013, after a couple of years using barre classes as a tool to help work through personal challenges and battle depression, Kimberly became certified as a Mind Body Barre instructor. She went on to expand her love of combining fitness and fun by becoming certified in Poundfit®, Zumba®, CIZE™ Live, BUTI® Yoga, and BUTI® Sculpt.
In 2017, Kimberly felt compelled to expand the reach of the mind/body fitness approach, and thus Anchor Barre Business & Wellness Studio was born. Kimberly is currently an ACE® Group certified instructor and is a 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher. A true believer that movement is the best medicine, Kimberly continues to find new methods for herself and her clients to have fun with movement in ways that lead to being happier, healthier, and more grounded – body, mind, and soul.

Tatum always had a love for the arts and started dancing at the age of 4. She began dancing competitively at an early age and knew that dance would always be a part of her life. She stopped teaching dance in her mid-20s to pursue her life as a wife and mother of 2 beautiful little ladies. As the girls grew, so did her passion for fitness. This became an outlet for her to truly be herself in an element that she could call her own. When she discovered that barre brought fitness and dance together, it was no wonder she became hooked. Cheers to this exciting adventure and may it be filled with love, laughter, and a good time.
A few years ago, Melynda was searching for a new fitness outlet when she was introduced to barre by fellow instructor Caitlin Dermody. After one class, she was sure that she had found something special. She was drawn to the connection between fitness and mindfulness, something she had never experienced before when taking classes. Melynda took all the classes she could fit into her busy schedule, trying to balance her job and two kids with her new love of barre. A year later she became Mind Body Barre and POUND® certified so that she could share her love of barre with others. She is so excited to join the Anchor Barre crew!
Darah has always had a love for fitness. She began dance at the age of three and has not stopped moving her body since then. Scheduled to graduate in the spring of 2019, Darah attends Bridgewater State University where she studies Elementary Education and Dance Education. In the spring of 2016, Darah attended her first BUTI Yoga class and fell in love. In February 2017, Darah became BUTI® Yoga certified and began teaching courses at BSU in the dance studios. When an opportunity to teach at Anchor Barre arose, she jumped without hesitation. Anchor Barre and BUTI® Yoga continue to open so many doors for Darah. Her journey is only just beginning, and she is forever grateful.
Caitlin has always had a love for physical activity. After doing gymnastics as a child, Caitlin enjoyed competing in soccer, basketball, softball, cheerleading, and tennis throughout high school and college. She always felt better when she was physically active, so as an adult Caitlin struggled with her fitness journey once she no longer had the outlet of team sports (she prefers not to run unless someone is chasing her).
When Caitlin began taking barre classes in 2013, she was hooked. In the spring of 2014, Caitlin became certified as a Mind Body Barre instructor and Poundfit® Pro. In 2017, Caitlin was lucky enough to join the Anchor Barre crew. She is a big believer in the mind/body fitness approach and hopes everyone leaves her classes feeling stronger, lighter, and happier.
Sara has recently discovered her love for group fitness. She was on a mission to find a mind and body fitness workout that was not only fun but also the perfect escape from the whirlwind of everyday activities. When she stumbled upon barre in 2013, she instantly became obsessed – who wouldn't?! Sara had a dream that one day, when the time was just right, she would teach barre. When the opportunity presented itself to become certified in the Anchor Barre Method, she was thrilled and knew it was meant to be. This is the beginning of a dream come true, and she is looking forward to sharing her love of barre with her students.
Heather truly believes that creativity is the key to happiness. With a background in gymnastics and cheerleading, Heather has always loved to express herself in forms of movement. She is constantly reminding her students that practice is key and you can do whatever you set your mind to. Heather is a certified BUTI® Yoga Instructor and is expanding her practice in the fall with the 200-hour yoga teacher training course.
She has vowed to herself to always be a student and never to stop learning in this ongoing journey. She also believes that balance and simplicity are key elements to a beautiful life: Stop what you’re doing and look up at the moon; have that mimosa (or two!) – you deserve it. Off the mat, Heather loves spending time on the beach with her hub and two Wheaten Terriers as well as designing home décor.
Courtney has been practicing yoga intermittently for the past 13 years, but it wasn't until about 3 1/2 years ago that she began to understand the importance of making it a lifestyle. Following a difficult period in her life where she became overwhelmed with anxiety and depression, she made the conscious decision to look within to find comfort and peace. It was then that she began to truly feel the healing power of pranayama (breath work), meditation, and movement.
Through a regular yoga practice and reiki healing energy work, she was able to get to a place where she felt healthy both inside and out. Her passion for wanting to help others lead her on the journey to becoming an instructor. She is currently a 200hr RYT, certified meridian yoga instructor, and Level II Reiki practitioner and continuing to learn more every day. She is a huge believer that our breath is not only the foundation of our yoga practice but of our lives. Something magical happens when a person finally discovers the connection between mind, body, and breath. ~ Namaste--

She discovered barre classes about 3 years ago and found that she loved the workout it provided, along with the mental escape from life's everyday stresses. Lori has a passion for helping people and found that this could be another outlet to do just that.
